Pierce TE in holding pattern right now

L.A. Pierce TE Nate Ingram (6-3, 245) has the size and athleticism to be a real weapon in the right offense. He is too big for defensive backs to cover and too fast and athletic for linebackers to match up against, but it isn't until recently that he has started to see things pick up with some BCS schools. JCFootball.com got the scoop on what he plans to do...

"I'm probably just going to wait it out a little longer," Ingram told JCFootball.com recently. "I mean, Miami is the most recent school to be calling me and I really want to see what they have to offer before I shut things down.

"I'm also getting some looks from Pac 12 and Big 10 schools right now, but I don't want to say which ones because it really has just started for me."

Before the season, Ingram had offers from New Mexico State and North Texas, as well as offers from Texas Southern and Tennessee State and those still hold true.

As a freshman in 2009, Ingram finished second on the team with 39 receptions for 398 yards and two touchdowns and this past fall, the talented tight end finished fourth on the team with 28 receptions for 310 yards and seven more scores.

At the D1 level, Ingram may only have one year of eligibility remaining.
