Offers start to roll in for Wilson

We previewed the abilities of Jones LB Anthony Wilson (6-4, 235) earlier this year and schools have taken notice. Four offers have already come in for the talented prospect and more could be on the way after he takes a couple unofficial visits next month...

"I have offers from Southern Miss, Miami, Baylor and Kansas State right now," Wilson told JCFootball.com earlier this week. "I'm heading up to Knoxville to visit Tennessee in about two weeks and I'm going to try and get down to see Mississippi State too.

"It's something I was hoping for, but I wasn't expecting it this early. It's humbling because I just go out and play and let that do my talking."

As a freshman for the Bobcats last year, Wilson was solid, posting 16 tackles and 3.5 sacks while playing in a reserve role.

"I specialize in rushing the quarterback," Wilson said back in February. "That's what I do best, but because I'm being looked at by schools as a 3-4 outside linebacker, I've had to work on my drops and that's something I'm going to focus on this spring and summer.

"When I got here, all I had ever done before was rush the quarterback because the schools I played against all threw it, but once I got here I had to get better against the run and become a more complete player, so that is what has helped me a lot."

Wilson said he plans to take his time and hopes to take all of his visits before he makes his decision and signs in December.

Wherever he ends up, Wilson will have three years to play two following the 2011 season.
