Sale re-opens his recruitment

As one of the top JUCO OL prospects in the state of California, L.A. Harbor's Niu Sale (6-3, 300) was a highly-recruited prospect this summer and he decided to end things early by committing to Arizona State. However, with head coach Dennis Erickson getting fired, he's decided to open things back up and he told JCFootball.com he plans to take at least three official visits before he signs...

"With Arizona State, if coach Erickson was going to be there, then I was solidly committed to them, but since he won't be there, I talked to my coach and I decided to open things back up," Sale told JCFootball.com. "I'm still interested in them, but I want to see who they hire and while I'm waiting on that, I felt like I should see a few more schools so I'm going to visit Arkansas, probably December 9th, and then I'm also looking at visiting Auburn too."

In addition to those three offers, Sale also has offers from Arizona, Kansas State, Oregon State, San Diego State, Utah and Washington State.

Sale wasn't heavily recruited out of Los Alamitos (Ca.) High School, but he found a home at Harbor and hasn't looked back.

"Everyone was real surprised that I chose Harbor because they all though I was going to go to Mt. San Antonio or El Camino, but when I came to practices here at Harbor, it just felt so comfortable," Sale recalled. "The coaches didn't just talk football, it was more of a friendship thing with them and that was a great feeling."

Sale will graduate next month and he will have three years to play two wherever he ends up.
