Luckner is a big-time wideout

El Camino WR Brady Luckner (5-10, 173) has been called one of the top receivers ever to don a Warrior uniform by his coaches. As a freshman this past fall, the speedy wideout put up big numbers and he expects more of the same this fall even with teams focusing their coverages on him...

"I feel like I can get open all the time," Luckner told JCFootball.com recently. "I have the speed (4.3) to get deep and I have good quickness, so this offseason I'm just working on my routes, my breaks and my depth."

As a freshman this year, Luckner burst on the scene for the Warriors posting 44 receptions for 814 yards and five touchdowns. That productivity, to go along with his natural receiving skills, has made him a hot commodity on the recruiting front.

"I have an offer from Florida International right now and I have a bunch more schools that are showing me interest," Luckner said. "Oregon State likes me a lot and I have had California, Boise State, Arizona, Utah, Washington and South Florida all showing me a lot of interest too."

Luckner prepped at Barrington Christian in Floriday City, Florida and was unable to qualify for a scholarship so he headed to Fort Scott Junior College in Kansas.

"I was there for one year, but I had some coaches back in Florida tell me about El Camino and how great it was out here so I came out and I've really enjoyed it," Luckner noted. "I am open to playing anywhere, so as far as choosing a school to play at after this year, I'm open to anyone that wants to recruit me.

"Wherever I go I know it will be different than where I am from so more than anything it'll be about playing time and the offense and then how I feel about my relationship with the coaches and the players."

Luckner is on pace to graduate in December with his AA degree and he will have two years to play two following the 2012 football season.
