A look at some of the top linebacker performances over the past week and which players are standing out for their team. This is by no means all-inclusive, but just a snapshot of some of the players who had big-time performances over the weekend...

Hinds LB Herbert Harris - The talented freshman got the season off to a great start posting 14 tackles (seven solo) in Hinds' 42-21 win over Mississippi Delta.


Yuba LB Max Flores - Flores has been a stud for Yuba since he arrived as a freshman last season. Even though his team lost 33-20, Flores led the way with seven tackles (four solo), a sack and two passes defensed.


Santa Barbara LB Morgan Nevin - Nevin had a huge game for the Vaqueros, posting 18 tackles (five solo) in their 41-19 loss to Allan Hancock.


Mt. San Antonio LB Julian Gener - Huge game for Gener over the weekend, posting 18 tackles (10 solo) in the Mounties' 51-48 win over Saddleback.


Ventura LB P.J. Gremaud - Another tackling machine, Greaud posted 12 tackles (11 solo) in the Pirates' 28-27 win over Riverside.


Jones LB Damien Wilson - Wilson had a huge game in Jones' 10-8 win over Holmes, racking up 16 tackles (10 solo) and one sack.


Coffeyville LB Montrel Crawford - The Red Ravens are off to a tough start, losing to two nationally ranked schools in Hutchinson and Trinity Valley, but Crawford had a huge game last weekend vs. TVC, posting nine tackles (seven solo) in their 35-7.


Merced LB Darius Lamar - Lamar showed some great instincts in Merced's 51-35 loss, posting 16 tackles (nine solo) and an interception.


Fort Scott LB Stephan Martin - Martin has already put up solid numbers in two games this season, but his big game came this past weekend when he racked up 14 tackles (10 solo) and two sacks, but the Greyhounds still lost 35-7 to Tyler.

Merced LB Brad Avila - Avila like his teammate (Lamar) had a huge night for the Blue Devils, posting 17 tackles (eight solo) in the 51-35 loss to Modesto.
