JUCO Duo Considering Missouri Visit

ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with a pair of Junior College All-Americans who are hearing from the Missouri Tigers and let us know where their recruitment is at and what the chances are of a possible official visit might be.

One of the problems the Missouri Tigers defense faced down the stretch of the 2012 football season was the lack of pressure there were able to put on opposing Quarterbacks, along with some teams ability to run the ball up the middle. This was especially apparent when junior DT Sheldon Richardson was out for disciplinary reasons against Syracuse.

The possibility of Richardson leaving for the NFL following his junior season looms with his outstanding play, and reports that he could be a future first round pick

ShowMeMizzou.com spoke recently to a pair of JUCO defensive linemen who are considering an official visit to Missouri in the near future.

Hutchinson (KS) Community College teammates Toby Johnson 6'4" 296 and Ben Bradley 6'3" 314 told us that the Tigers have recently entered the picture with them.

"We talked with Defensive Coordinator Dave Steckel last week,"said Johnson." We are going to try and get up there sometime next month in December. We don't know the exact date, but likely  the first or second week. I will know by next week. Hutch has a bowl game on December 1st and Ben is still playing."

Toby Johnson's season was cut short due to a knee injury. He will not be playing in the bowl game and has said in previous interviews that Henie scheduled to have surgery on December 13th.

Johnson did speak about the possibility of he and Bradley going to the same school, as well as addressing what schools may be in the picture.

"We'd like to go to the same school if possible,"Johnson said. "There are a lot of schools in the mix and we don't want to name all the schools or name our top schools yet. That will all clear up next week and we will take our final two visits."

Johnson is a mid year transfer and will join his school if choice in January. He has mentioned the possibility of red-shirting should his knee not be ready to go next fall. He could play multiple positions along the line including defensive end and defensive tackle.

Ben Bradley could possibly transfer in January, but a May graduation is more likely. Originally from Norcross (GA), Bradley is looking for a school that plays a 4-3 defense to go to. He has said that he is also hearing from Nebraska and Miami since decommitting from Tennessee after Coach Dooley was fired. He recorded 43 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, and 5 sacks in the regular season while being named first team defense in the Jayhawk Conference along with Toby Johnson.

Both Bradley and Johnson are friends with current Missouri Tigers defensive end Markus Golden, who also attended Hutch.
