Mountaineers Land JUCO Defensive Back

Terrell Pinson

Itawamba Community College (Fulton, Miss.) defensive back Terrell Pinson committed to West Virginia during his official visit this weekend.

It has turned into a very good day for West Virginia, and it goes beyond the 59-10 thrashing of Kansas in the regular season finale.

The Mountaineers not only landed a commitment from 2014 standout Ricky Rogers of Gateway High (Monroeville, Pa.), which bodes well for the future, but also got immediate help for next season when Itawamba Community College (Fulton, Miss.) defensive back Terrell Pinson committed to West Virginia.

"Yes, sir, I committed," told FOXSportsNEXT. "I did it today during my official visit." Pinson also said he is likely to enroll in January, but he needs to finalize a few things before that becomes a reality.

The Mountaineers recruited him to play cornerback. He made 36 tackles and intercepted four passes in nine games this past season.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Pinson will have three years to play two seasons at West Virginia.
