Vandenburg picks up Nebraska offer

Vandenburg picks up Nebraska offer

Nebraska has been in hot pursuit of Los Angeles (Calif.) Pierce College tight end, Beau Sandland, since this spring. With Sandland literally weeks away from making a decision the Nebraska staff extended another offer to a junior college tight end last night.

Brandon Vandenburg is the latest player to pick up a Nebraska offer. Vandenburg, a 6-foot-6 and 260-pound junior college tight end from Palm Desert (Calif.) City of the Desert, had a big season pulling in 26 passes for 370 yards and three scores.

Vandenburg didn't have long to talk to BigRedReport.com about the recent offer because he was with a college coach at the time and had some other obligations tonight, but said that he got the offer last night.

"Yeah I got the Nebraska offer last night," Vandenburg said. "I took an official visit to Connecticut last week and I am considering taking an official visit to Nebraska in January."

BigRedReport.com will try and bring you more information about Vandenburg this evening.
