Butler County (KA) Community College offensive lineman John McClure (6-4, 310) has signed with Arkansas to start off what could be a fantastic mdi-term graduate haul for the Razorbacks and new head coach Bret Bielema.

Arkansas is off and running on what is shaping up as a fantastic first-day haul as the national junior college signing period opens.

Bulter County (KA) CC All-American offensive lineman John McClure has signed and Weed (CA) College of the Siskiyous linebacker Myke Tavarres (6-2, 223) says he has chosen the Razorbacks over Boise State on a day when Arkansas could land five prospects.

McClure pledged to the Razorbacks after his official visit in October and stayed strong as new head coach Bret Bielema came on board.

"It feels great and all my hard work has finally paid off," McClure said. "I am going to get to go to a great school and play for a great football program that has some great coaches."

McClure was just named a junior college All-American for the second straight season.

"I wanted to repeat as an All-American this year after getting that honor last season," McClure said. "It was just a matter of hard work and listening to my coaches and getting better."

McClure will now work under new Razorback offensive line coach Sam Pittman.

"I got a chance to talk to him and am real excited about his hire," McClure said. "He has sent a lot of guys on to the NFL and has had great success as a coach."

Tavarres, who committed to Arkansas back in August, also took official visits to Arizona and Boise State before choosing the Razorbacks over the Broncos in the end.

The Razorbacks will also sign Hartnell (CA) College cornerback Carroll Washington (6-1, 180) and Georgia Military College safety Tiquention Coleman (6-0, 190) later Wednesday.

Arkansas could make it a 5-for-5 day if former North Little Rock star and Coffeyville (KA) CC standout Martrell Spaight (6-0, 220) chooses the Razorbacks over Kansas State.

He will sign at the Charging Wildcats' weight room at noon.
