Ragin Makes the Call
WATCH RAGIN'S DEFENSIVE HIGHLIGHTS
Less than two weeks after his official visit to California, Wilsonville (Ore.) outside linebacker Johnny Ragin III -- formerly a BYU commit – decided that he would switch his pledge from the Cougars to the Bears, announcing his choice via twitter, and immediately calling Cal Sports Digest.
"After sitting down with my mom and my family, we just felt like Cal was the best fit for me," Ragin said.
The visit weekend helped to seal the deal for the 6-foot-3, 220-pounder, as he spent time with quarterback Jared Goff, kicker Matt Anderson and wide receiver Drake Whitehurst -- who are all now enrolled at Cal as early enrollees.
"I really had a great time out there, and really just enjoyed my experience and got to see a lot of the great things that Cal had to offer, that I hadn't known, prior," Ragin said. "It just felt like a great place to be."
