Signing as a Sooner: No. 10

2013 OU JUCO OT signee Josiah St. John

NORMAN, Okla. — A player that figures to compete for a lot of time in his rotation comes in here.

Signing Time: 8:11 a.m.

Scout.com Ranking: Three-star

Signee: Josiah St. John (OT—6'6"/300)—Centers/guards coach James Patton—he was his recruiter even though he'll play outside for tackles/tight ends coach Bruce Kittle—got his work in to land this one. St. John had more than 20 offers of programs trying to get their hands on him, and ultimately OU did. He has nice pass protecting skills, as you'd expect from a junior college kid, and has three years to play two and showcase those.

What he's coming into at the position:St. John is very much in the fray for playing time immediately upon arriving at OU. Daryl Williams and Tyrus Thompson are the expected starters, but after that it's all his to gain. Derek Farniok and Nathan Hughes, along with Christian Daimler, are the other scholarship players at the position.
