West Virginia-bound LB Devante Averette, who leads a tough Ellsworth defense, had a huge game last weekend as he helped the Panthers get to 2-2 on the season. Here's a look at how he as well as some other top JUCO linebackers performed this past weekend...

Ellsworth LB Devante Averette - In Ellsworth's 14-10 win over Iowa Central, the sophomore who is committed to West Virginia posted 19 tackles (17 solo), 5 tackles-for-loss, two sacks and two forced fumbles. In four games, Averette has posted 54 tackles, two sacks, 16.5 tackles-for-loss, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.


Louisburg LB Stephen Williams - Williams had a monster game yet again for the Hurricanes as he had 18 stops (11 solo), two tackles-for-loss and one fumble recovery in a 19-18 win over Lackawanna which boosted Louisburg's record to 4-0.


Rochester LB Joe Strike - Strike was named the NJCAA Defensive Player of the Week after posting seven tackles (all solo) and two interceptions, both of which he took back for touchdowns, as the Yellow Jackets upset Central Lakes 48-21.


Butler LB T.J. Fuller - Fuller totaled 13 tackles (eight solo), two sacks, 2.5 tackles-for-loss, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in Bulter's surprising 23-21 loss to Highland last Saturday.


Arizona Western LB Antonio Kinard - Kinard had 12 tackles in 76-6 win over Everett Community College last week.


Blinn LB Ken Butler - In Blinn's heart-breaking 31-28 loss to Tyler last weekend, Butler had 10 tackles (nine solo) and two tackles-for-loss.


Eastern Arizona LB Marcus Gaddy - The freshman had a great game for the Gila Monsters, racking up nine tackles (four solo), two tackles-for-loss and one sack, but Eastern Arizona lost to New Mexico Military, 24-13.


Itawamba LB C.J. Jackson - The sophomore had eight tackles, four tackles-for-loss in a 13-10 win over Holmes.


Iowa Western LB Ryan Langford - In Iowa Western's 33-0 win over College of DuPage, Lanford had five tackles and an interception that he took back 20 yards for a touchdown.


College of DuPage LB Devin Coney - The freshman did his best to keep the Chaparrals in the game by racking up seven tackles and a sack, but they still dropped their contest with Iowa Western by a score of 33-0. In four games so far this season, Coney has totaled 35 tackles, two sacks, 4.5 tackles-for-loss and one forced fumble.


Scottsdale LB Isaiah Riddle - The sophomore was named the Western States Defensive Player of the Week after he posted 19 tackles (15 solo) and five tackles-for-loss as the Chokes got a 35-25 win over Pima. This season, in four games, Riddle has posted 42 tackles (30 solo) and five tackles-for-loss.


Laney LB Chris Lee - Lee had a huge game in Laney's 29-22 win over Modesto, posting nine tackles, ½ a sack and an interception. So far this season, in three games, the sophomore middle linebacker has 15 tackles, a sack and an interception.

Laney LB Kenneth Nelson - Nelson arguably had a better game than Lee, racking up nine tackles as well as 1.5 sacks and three tackles-for-loss on the day. The sophomore outside linebacker has posted 19 tackles, 4.5 tackles-for-loss and 2.5 sacks on the season.


Reedley LB Josh Boulware - Reedley got taken to task, 45-7, by Fresno, but Boulware still had a big day making tackles as he posted 11 in the game.


El Camino LB Ralph Harvey - Harvey racked up 12 tackles, 1.5 tackles-for-loss and a quarterback hurry in the Warriors' 43-7 win over Pasadena last week. In three games, the sophomore linebacker has 20 tackles, three tackles-for-loss and an interception while helping to lead the Warriors to a 2-1 record.


Riverside LB Bryce Smith - Smith was integral in Riverside's 38-31 win over Saddleback last week totaling 13 tackles (seven solo) on the day. So far this season, the freshman has racked up 29 tackles (19 solo) in three games to lead the Tigers.


Santa Monica LB Daveed Carter - Carter, a freshman, led the Corsairs with 18 tackles while also chipping in with ½ a sack and 1.5 tackles-for-loss in Santa Monica's 42-21 loss to San Bernardino last Saturday.


Chaffey LB Lenier Lee - Lee racked up eight tackles (five solo), two tackles-for-loss, an interception and a quarterback hurry in Chaffey's 37-19 win over Antelope Valley.


College of San Mateo LB Michael Spivey - Spivey had a big game for the Bulldogs last week, posting nine tackles (five solo), three tackles-for-loss and 1.5 sacks in CSM's 14-7 win over Diablo Valley. So far this season, the sophomore has posted 25 tackles, six tackles-for-loss, 1.5 sacks and an interception while helping to lead them to a 3-0 record.


Sierra LB Austin Wyatt - Wyatt yet again had another big game for the Wolverines, posting 11 tackles (six solo), one sack and three tackles-for-loss but Sierra still lost 31-0 to College of the Siskiyous.


Victor Valley LB Jimmy Musgrave - Musgrave had another huge game for Victor Valley, his third-straight, as he totaled nine tackles (eight solo), six tackles-for-loss and one sack as he led his team to a 48-28 win over L.A. Southwest. In three games, the Oregon bounceback has racked up 35 tackles (21 solo), 12 tackles-for-loss, four sacks and two forced fumbles.


Citrus LB Jose Nunez - In Citrus' 39-14 win over Grossmont, Nunez posted 10 tackles (five solo), ½ a sack, two tackles-for-loss and one fumble recovery.


Allan Hancock LB Demetrius Johnson - Johnson had a huge game for the Bulldogs, posting 12 tackles (six solo) and a tackle-for-loss in Allan Hancock's 23-21 loss to Golden West.
