South Alabama Reels In JUCO WR

North Dakota State College of Science WR Claude Garrett (6-3, 215) parlayed two solid seasons for the Wildcats into an offer from South Alabama and today, the first day that May grads could sign with four-year programs, he chose to sign with the Jaguars...

"I will be attending the university of South Alabama," Garrett said on his Facebook page.

As a two-year starter for the Wildcats, Garrett used his size, speed, athleticism and soft hands to post 76 receptions for 1,213 yards and nine touchdowns over those two seasons.

"I'm a strong runner, so I can take a hitch or a short pass and turn it into six (points), but I also have enough speed to get deep when it's needed," Garrett told JCFootball.com during the summer.

Garrett is on pace to finish up his two-year degree in May and he will have three years to play two starting this fall.
