NEWS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
COA Launches New-Look Website
Sacramento, CA . . . The California Community College
Commission on Athletics (COA) today unveiled a redesigned website at www.coasports.org.
The site is the official source for athletic news and information from the
world's largest system of higher education.
Since the site's initial launch in the Fall of 1997, the content of COASPORTS.org
has grown to attract an increasing number of visitors each year. The new
site now offers frequent visitors a new view and provides unlimited potential
for future growth.
Viewers will be greeted by a new-look homepage that retains the user-friendly
navigational structure that visitors to COASPORTS.org
have always enjoyed. The site will also maintain its wealth of news
articles, press releases and sport specific information, including results and
statistics during the coming sport seasons.
One of the site's new features is an online storefront, which will give viewers
the ability to purchase COA publications such as the Constitution, sport guides
and directory. Visitors to the site will be able to sign up for the COA
online newsletter, set to debut in September. The inclusion of photo
galleries, online trivia, contests, and improved services for COA membership are
all planned for COASPORTS.org in the coming months.
The Sacramento-based Spotlight Interactive provided the site redesign, and is
also the host of COASPORTS.org.
"We¹re very excited to be able to assist the COA in providing its
membership and the public with added tools for the site," said Paul
Lanning, president of Spotlight Interactive. "We feel very strongly that
interactive features and timely reporting will make the site a hugely valuable
resource statewide and nationwide. We¹re working closely with COA staff
to improve the functionality of the site and the depth and breadth of its
content."
