Nassau CB Talks Recruiting

Nassau CB Rasul Douglas (6-3, 205) has at least nine offers and more schools are looking his way. JCFootball.com caught up with the talented defensive back recently and he updated us on where he stands in the process...

"I have offers right now from Florida, Florida State, Illinois, Kansas, Louisville, Tennessee, UCF, Utah State and West Virginia," Douglas told JCFootball.com. "I've been talking to a few other schools and my coaches said a lot of other schools will be by to watch some of our games this fall."

Rasul is set to visit Tennessee on November 22nd and he said he plans to take his other four official visits.

"I know I will be (at Tennessee) for that weekend and I'm looking at a couple of other ones for visits," Douglas noted. "One that I know I want to take is the one to West Virginia. I like the staff there a lot and I am really interested in them. I also want to see Florida and probably Central Florida too. I haven't set those up yet."

As a freshman in 2013, Douglas posted 40 tackles and three interceptions.

"I didn't start right away, but by the third or fourth game, I was starting and I just never gave it up," Douglas noted. "I'm a man-to-man, lock-down corner. I love to come up and be physical.

"With my size, it's hard for receivers to get off the line on me, so I'm at my best in press, but I can play off too and zone. I feel like I can do it all out there."

Douglas is on pace to finish up his two year degree in December and he will have three years to play two following the 2014 football season.
