Big, phyiscal bookend tackles are tough to find, but North Iowa's Kyle Staudt (6-5, 305) fits that…
Recruiting for Staudt is off to a quick start
"The stronger and more flexible I am the better I'm going to be as a player."
Staudt played at Charles City High School in Iowa and said he chose NIACC because of the coaches and because it's close to home.
"They coaching staff here is really good and I feel like they can help me develop my skills," Staudt said. "I really enjoy my time here, but I want to go to a four-year, D-1 school because that's what I've always wanted to do."
Staudt plays right tackle for the Trojans and said he can play inside or outside, depending on where he ends up.
"I just love to play the game," Staudt said. "I can play guard or tackle – wherever they need me is where I'll play."
Staudt claims a 5.3 forty time and a 365-pound max on the bench.
On the recruiting front, he's been hearing from lots of D-1AA schools, but it's the D-1 programs that have him the most interested.
"I talked to Iowa's offensive line coach the other day and he said they were really interested in me," Staudt said. "Temple, Arizona State and San Diego State are schools that have been sending me stuff too and they all seem interested and said they plan to come out and see me at school over the next couple of weeks."
Staudt was a full qualifier out of high school so he can leave at any time, but plans to stay until December and then he'll have three to play two wherever he ends up.
