Is Tulsa getting Bower?
"I really think it is the best place for me. I'm going to head up there this weekend to check them out to make sure it's a good fit for me, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to end up there.
"My wife (whom Bower married in early November) and my family are very excited for me. They all just want me to be happy and I'm pretty happy and excited about Tulsa."
Bower finished the 2007 season by wracking up over 2,200 yards through the air for the Renegades while completing 63% of his passes and he had a 22 to eight touchdown to interception ratio.
"It was a fun season all the way around," Bower recalled. "We had some great games and I had a great supporting cast which made my job a lot easier."
Bower was being recruited by several schools including Hawaii, Colorado State, Utah, Fresno State and New Mexico among others, but it looks like it's Tulsa for the young man with the big arm from Bakersfield.
"I'm just looking forward to getting on with my career and I think Tulsa is the place that can help me progress as a player and as a quarterback," Bower said. "If things go as I expect them to, I'll sign my letter with them over the weekend and I'll enroll for classes while I'm there."
Because Bower redshirted his freshman season at BYU before transferring to Bakersfield, when he arrives on campus, he'll have three years to play three.
