After one season at College of the Siskiyous and a medical redshirt, current Pierce CB Jeremy Brown (6-0, 200) is ready to show everyone what he's capable of. Two schools recently came forward with offers for the talented and versatile DB and JCFootball.com caught up with him to talk about things...

"Arkansas and Oklahoma State just offered me today," Brown told JCFootball.com on Monday night. "I've also got a lot of interest from Cincinnati, but they haven't offered me yet."

After and outstanding high school career Brown decided to go the JC-route when he didn't qualify for a D-1 scholarship.

He made the decision to head to Siskiyous, but after a standout season for the Eagles, he decided to make a move.

"It just wasn't the right fit for me up there," Brown said. "I just didn't feel comfortable with things up there, but I still got All-Conference and I started every game."

Pierce was Brown's choice to continue his JC career, but something happened shortly before the 2007 season.

"I ended up tearing my meniscus in my right knee about two weeks before the season started," Brown said. "It was frustrating, but I got a medical redshirt so I've been rehabbing it and I was able to save a year of eligibility.

"I'm still rehabbing it, but it's way better. They can't really operate on it and they told me it would mend itself, but it's a long process so I'm just rehabbing and running and it's close to being fully-healed."

With his size and athleticism, Brown is an ideal candidate to play either corner or safety. He claims a 4.35 forty time and a 39-inch vertical leap as well.

"I can play either corner or safety and different schools are looking at me at different positions," Brown said. "I can play either one so it really doesn't matter to me.

"Cincinnati and Arkansas want me at corner and Oklahoma State likes me at safety."

Because he's ahead on his coure-work, Brown can leave in December and with his medical redshirt he'll still have three years to play two following the 2008 season.

We'll continue to follow Brown's progress and update things as they change.
