| Masoli is Signing in the Morning | ||||

He's dynamic. Was a qualifier out of high school. Earned all-league honors as a grayshirt-freshman in 2007. City College of San Francisco quarterback WOULD HAVE been our top rated quarterback entering the fall because of his combination of skills, smarts, and leadership abilities. Instead he's moving to the next level early. | |||

We received a phone call from CCSF head coach George Rush this afternoon, who let us know that his talented signal-caller is going to sign with Oregon in the morning. "I'm real happy for him. Our whole staff here is happy for him really," Rush told JCFootball.com. "He got what he deserved, what he came here for, which is an opportunity at the next level." Masoli, who is 6-0, 205, tripped to Oregon, Arkansas, and Arizona in recent weeks. He should be a great fit in the Ducks' system as Masoli can run and is an accurate passer as well. We'll have more on Masoli's commitment once the paperwork is officially signed. It's likely that Chris Forni will be taking over as the Rams' starter. Rush says that Forni could have started for a lot of other JC programs last year. Forni has a very good arm and is mobile enough. Sounds like the beat goes in the Bay Area. |
