Two more visits for talented COS linebacker

College of the Sequoias LB Aaron Gress (6-2, 225) is a player that has become quite the hot commodity lately after a stellar sophomore season for the Giants. He recently visited Marshall and enjoyed his time there, but he's got two more trips on tap before he makes his final decision early next week.

Gress posted 70 tackles and one interception in 2008 after totaling 65 tackles and a sack in 2007 as a freshman.

Now with his eyes squarely focused on recruiting, Gress is getting close to making a decision.

"I was out (at Marshall) this weekend and I had a lot of fun, but I didn't commit or anything," Gress told JCFootball.com. "I still have to visit BYU on Tuesday through Thursday and then I'll be at Illinois on Friday and I'll be there through Sunday."

Gress noted that BYU has offered, but Illinois said they will likely offer on his visit.

"I haven't met the head coach yet, so Illinois hasn't offered me," Gress said. "BYU offered me a while ago, so I'm looking forward to checking them out a little bit.

"Nevada actually called me on the phone this past weekend while I was on my visit and said 'don't commit' we want to offer you right now."

Gress said he's unsure whether he will visit Nevada or not, because he plans to make his decision sometime early next week.

Gress will sign with a school later this month and he'll be on campus for winter quarter with three years to play two the moment he steps on campus.
