He took the 2008 season off to work out and get his coursework done and now David Batts (6-2, 205) is close to realizing his dream of playing in the Big 12. JCFootball.com was able to catch up with the talented defensive back on Thursday night and he updated us on why he's going to be playing ball for the Kansas State Wildcats this coming fall...

"I committed to Kansas State on Sunday at the end of my visit," an excited Batts said. "I sat down with coach (Bill) Snyder and it was just the right time to do it.
