Washington has been in pursuit of a pass-rushing defensive end to pair with senior-to-be Daniel Te'o…
Davis makes the switch
"I'm a Husky."
Davis had committed to California back in December after his official visit, but what the Bears had planned for him as far as his position went, it wasn't what he thought would fit him best.
"Cal wanted me at linebacker, like what Zach Follet played, and I just didn't see myself in that role," Davis said. "Washington told me they wanted me with my hand down on the ground, rushing the quarterback and that's what I do best."
He sure does.
As a sophomore, Davis totaled 32 tackles, 17 quarterback hurries, 8 sacks, 11 tackles for loss, 3 fumble recoveries, and 2 forced fumbles and was named All-Conference and All-Region for his efforts.
In addition to his offers from Washington and Cal, Davis also had offers from Akron, Hawaii, Kansas, North Carolina State, UNLV, New Mexico State, New Mexico and interest from Oregon, Oregon State, Washington State and Arizona State as well.
Davis will sign his letter or intent on Wednesday and he's is on pace to graduate in May. He'll have three years to play two the moment he stops on campus.
