Frampton played for the Seahawks in 2007, but redshirted in 2008. This season he was one of the top receivers in the California JUCO ranks hauling in 77 receptions for 1,230 yards and nine touchdowns this year.
"I'm quick and I can play outside or in the slot," Frampton told JCFootball.com Thursday evening. "I have 4.38 speed, so I can run past you or I can use my quickness to get by you."
Recently Arkansas State
stepped up with an offer for all three and Frampton said he's excited although he does have some offers from some top 1AA programs as well.
"Weber State, Henderson State, Southeast Missouri and Indiana State
have all offered me, but Arkansas State is the first 1A to offer," Frampton said. "I'm just going to check them out and see what they have to offer. It's D-1 ball and they play an offense that I can succeed in."
Joining Frampton will be his friend John White
who had an outstanding season for the Seahawks this fall, rushing for 1,036 yards and 18 touchdowns while adding 47 receptions for 470 yards and five more scores and averaging 26.2 yards per kickoff return including two that he took to the house.
"I had almost 2,100 yards of total offense this year and I heard that that stat led the state," White said. "I can play anywhere and I feel like I can do it all, but they used me out of the spread here so I went in motion a lot and they put me in the slot or handed me the ball out of the shotgun.
"In high school I played a more traditional running back role where we ran a lot of power and trap plays."
In addition to his offer from Arkansas State, White is also hearing from Washington State
, Arizona State
"I was a full-qualifier, so I could leave right now," White said. "If those schools wanted me to visit in January, then I would wait to see what they want to do, but if not then I need to do what is best for me and if that's going to Arkansas State, then I feel comfortable doing that."
Gaudin was the one player we were unable to reach, but he too put up solid stats on a team that went 9-2 before losing in the second round of the playoffs this year.
Gaudin hauled in 28 receptions for 419 yards and five scores while rushing for 102 yards and two more scores.
We'll check back with all three after their visits to see how things went.
