Head coach Bronco Mendenhall informed the media that the Cougar coaching staff will try and bring in a midyear transfer from the junior college ranks to shore up the defensive backfield for next season. Citrus Community College’s Christyn Lewis appears to fit that bill, as BYU offered him a scholarship about a week after Mendenhall made that statement.
