| Biography: |
The Mets drafted Jimmy Anderson in 2002. Anderson played collegiately for the University of California at Riverside in the Big West Conference. This was UC-Riverside's first season playing Division 1 baseball. Anderson led the Highlanders in home runs with 8 and stole 14 bases in 20 attempts. Anderson is a solid defensive catcher. He projects to eventually hit for power.
Anderson had an inauspicious professional debut with the Cyclones. He hit .217 with no home runs. |
